Success for Orcuma at North East IT and Technology Awards
CRM software company Orcuma have picked up the title “Project of the Year - Public Sector” at a prestigious North East IT and Technology award ceremony. Dynamite 14 celebrated the best of the region’s IT and Technology sector and was attended by over 300 North East IT economy leaders who came together to recognise the region’s technology developments.
Orcuma worked with Durham County Council to design and implement FIRsT, a new anti-social behaviour recording system. The project involved the migration of over 5,800 perpetrator records, 22,000 perpetrator notes and over 9,000 relevant documents as well as 200 active cases of anti-social behaviour.
Co-founder and director Paul Mitchell said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won project of the year in such a tough category as Public Sector against some big names in the industry. This award reflects the work Orcuma has undertaken in partnership with Durham County Council to develop and implement a new Anti-Social Behaviour case management system”.
Fellow co-founder and director, Richard Whittaker added: “It is great to be recognised for the quality of software that we have produced for public sector workers. We have worked very hard to make the FIRsT system as flexible as possible to help make a difference in this important area of the council’s work.
Orcuma’s FIRsT (Flexible Information Reporting Tool) is also supporting a key Safe Durham Partnership project. The software will allow information to be entered securely online by appropriate staff across all the Partnership’s Agencies, including Social Landlords, Housing Associations, the Police and Fire and Rescue services. This is a unique project in its aims of promoting and facilitating a complete multi agency data sharing portal. The company has also implemented their software at County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service.
Dynamite 14 are the newly launched Awards open to all organisations working within the North East’s IT sector, ran by Dynamo.
