CRM Software Company recruits Computing graduate
Award winning North East Software Company, Orcuma Ltd, has added to its numbers with the appointment of Sunderland University graduate William Whinn.
The company, which is headquartered in the Sunderland Software Centre, has welcomed William into the growing team to assist with further development of its FIRsT software.
Orcuma, have developed their own internet-based CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and case management system “FIRsT” (Flexible Information Reporting Tool).
Clients include Durham County Council, G4S Utilities and Outsourcing, County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service, sporting organisation Future Cheer, where FIRsT is being used for such diverse applications such as Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs, Anti-Social Behaviour management and sports team management and competition administration.
William, who graduated with a BSc in Computing, was appointed the position with the help of the University of Sunderland’s “Graduates into Enterprise” scheme, allowing graduates the opportunity to gain valuable experience after completing their degree.
William says: “As a graduate from Sunderland I think the scheme is an excellent opportunity to highlight the skills I gained whilst at university and I am delighted to have been awarded the position at Orcuma.
“The role sounds an exciting opportunity and one where I can really put my skills into practice”.
Richard Whittaker, Director and Co-owner of the company said: “We are delighted to engage with University of Sunderland and allow William the opportunity to gain valuable experience with us”.
“William’s skill set will allow Orcuma to further develop FIRsT and the opportunity to generate a FIRsT CRM Mobile app, something which we have been looking to do. With continuous client growth there is a need to develop and revamp FIRsT and this can be made possible with the introduction of new staff. We are also working with a graphic designer to redesign Orcuma’s website. These are exciting times ahead for the company and our growing team”.
