The Newcastle Business Awards Return for 2016

After a hugely successful inaugural year, the Newcastle Business Awards in association with Siemens are back and bigger than ever for 2016, and keen to find great new local sponsors in the form of established Newcastle businesses.

Set in the stunning Skylight facility at The Beacon, Westgate Road, the awards are a celebration of Newcastle business achievements, and an excellent marketing opportunity for you and your business. The awards will be hosted for a second year running by BBC Radio Newcastle favourite Alfie Joey, and take place on Thursday November 17th.

Sponsorship packages include your logo and branding prominently displayed within on and offline material, social media promotion, a three minute video promoting your business, a table of 10 at the awards evening plus you’ll be able to present your sponsored award to the lucky winner, and more. They’re an excellent way for established businesses in the city to give a little back to new rising industry stars, and a great positive PR opportunity.

There’s a range of categories available to sponsor, so whatever sector or cause your business is passionate about, there are brilliant ways to get involved. The 10 award categories cover everything from new business start-ups to small/medium business of the year, with special awards for entrepreneur of the year, green business of the year, charity or social enterprise of the year, digital innovation, apprentices or trainee of the year and more, there’s even awards celebrating marketing innovation, creativity in business and food, drink and hospitality.

The Newcastle Business Awards launched in 2015 with a fantastic response from the city. The dedicated hashtag #NCLBA2015 trended locally during last year’s awards ceremony, and the social media response was huge with this year set to be even more exciting on and offline.

The iconic tin can branding is back, having undergone a bright 2016 design update, and the hugely popular food bank drive will also be returning to the ceremony, with guests and sponsors urged to bring along long-life food to support the Newcastle West End Foodbank.

Brought to you by Groundwork South Tyneside & Newcastle in association with Siemens, the Newcastle Business Awards encapsulate Groundwork’s vision of changing places, changing lives by inspiring communities through enterprise. The event will promote the ethos and practice of businesses and the community working together to drive social improvement whilst encouraging a more environmentally sustainable approach to growing the local economy.
