NE Procurement is a top social housing procurement organisation in the North East. Its members consist of social housing organisations who collectively manage over 220,000 properties across the region. NE Procurement was formed in 2008 as a consortium, designed to provide its members with products or materials through the organisations frameworks at a collective discounted rate, bringing efficiencies to procurement exercises. A percentage of the money saved through the process is invested back into the organisations Future Sparks Fund which then supports communities through various initiatives. Since 2008, the organisation has procured around £215m of products and services for its members and has committed over £1.3 million to community projects with long-term social benefits for people across the North East.
