Our Sorority is a grassroots organisation based in London founded by Alicia Barnes in 2014. Our vision is to act as an advocate to empower and support young women and mothers aged 15-25 to progress into successful inspiring women. We have a holistic approach in supporting them with their personal, professional and parental development. We do this by giving guidance and practical support to vulnerable young women and mothers who are (but not limited to) at risk of offending, abuse, poverty, exploitation, child protection orders, suffer from mental health, NEET and who feel excluded from society. We are committed to raising aspirations and prospects so that these young women are able to lead positive lifestyles which will lead to a positive future for them and their children which will in turn make for a better society. We hope that this approach breaks negative cycles, builds confidence and raises aspirations.
